Methwold

This morning I attended a service at Methwold.
Methwold Chapel

Our chapel there had closed a few years back but they hold a service once a quarter in the St George's Anglican church. Douglas and I took a service there  a few weeks before he died and so I felt it was important to visit them so that I could say goodbye and hand over the picture of Douglas.

They were all very happy to see me and I was able to sit next to one of my special people who was part of the Methwold congregation and who moved to Downham when the chapel at \Methwold closed.

As I left the building after enjoying a cup of coffee and a bit of Fellowship I saw that Douglas had been placed on the table at the door.
Outside in the church grounds I saw the interesting arrangement of grave stones and was reminded that these ancient buildings had been standing for hundreds of years. How many thousands of people had walked along the path where I now walked? It boggles the mind.
In my photo file I found a picture that I had taken when Jeanette visited me. These memories are all very special and are to be treasured in the years to come.
