Stoke Ferry

After the service at Methwold I went to Stoke Ferry to attend their CFS (Church Fellowship Service). It was a case of third time lucky as I had tried to attend a service there on two previous occasions.
This chapel is in a school so is quite unique.
Once again I was warmly welcomed as I arrived armed with a picture of Douglas. Of course I found that they had framed the Christmas card photo that I had sent them so I gently told them that they could now loose that one and keep the one of Douglas on his own.
This was not to be as when I turned around I noticed that the new photo had been placed on the Communion table but the other one remained where it was.
I am still in awe when I see how much the people here loved Douglas although I know I should not be surprised as he was a very special man. I was so blessed to have him in my life for so many years.
The memories of these very happy years will remain with me forever.
